Abdallah Sima may have played his last game at Ibrox, as the Rangers have started advanced negotiations to bring in a “magical” summer addition.
After an incredible season in Scotland, the Brighton winger is expected to return to the Premier League team. Although the Gers are eager to sign him long-term, concerns have been expressed about the club’s financial situation.
Despite a protracted injury layoff, the 22-year-old has 16 goals and two assists in all competitions and will be leaving Ibrox as a beloved figure.
Instead, according to AfricaFoot, they are currently in “very advanced” negotiations to sign £3.5 million agreement to capture Adama Traore, a winger for Ferencvaros, who was called “magical” in the report.
Without a doubt, Sima would have been the first choice this summer, even though the club appears to be close to reaching a personal agreement. Simply said, Traore is significantly more cheap.
Adama Traore is expected to join Rangers this summer.
Similar to Sima, Traore can fill in at either flank and has been playing quite well this season, with 14 goals and five assists across all competitions.
According to Transfermarkt, he also has a minimal injury history, which will undoubtedly help Philippe Clement coming into the next season following a plethora of significant injuries sustained during the 2023–24 campaign.
Rangers lost the Scottish Premiership to Celtic, their Old Firm rivals, therefore a complete makeover is expected at Ibrox this summer. However, Clement is operating on a very tight budget.
