Kenneth Paal, the left-back for QPR, is of interest to Watford.
Paal, who turned 27 recently, still has one year left on his Loftus Road contract.
There have been discussions regarding a new contract, and if the Surinamese international decides not to resign, Rangers are willing to trade him this summer.
Paal is one of the alternatives being explored by Watford, who are looking to sign a left-back after having Jamal Lewis on loan from Newcastle last season.
After leaving Dutch club PEC Zwolle in 2022, he went to west London on a free transfer. He has played 87 games for the R’s.
Chris Willock, who is not under contract, is anticipated to have his situation settled soon.
There have been discussions over a two-year contract with a release clause that would allow Willock to go, providing Rangers with a transfer fee, should he draw interest.
Willock, who has had trouble staying healthy over the last two seasons, has been keeping his options open in light of possible interest from other teams.
On Monday, the QPR team will depart for Girona, Spain, for a 12-day preseason trip.
