Robin Koch and Luis Sinisterra have agreed permanent moves to Eintracht Frankfurt and Bournemouth, while reports say Luke Ayling has rejected Sheffield United to sign a permanent deal with Middlesbrough.
Rasmus Kristensen will return to Elland Road from Roma, while it is expected Marc Roca will do the same after losing his place in Betis’ side under Manuel Pellegrini despite an impressive season on the whole.
Leeds’ asking price of £14.5m for Max Wober is proving to be too expensive for Gladbach, while Brenden Aaronson helped Union Berlin survive relegation on the final day of the Bundesliga season on Sunday.
But, there is no hint as to whether he will be staying. The same goes for Jack Harrison at Everton given the perilous state of the Merseyside club’s finances and now, an update on Diego Llorente’s future at Roma.
Leeds are confident Llorente, Harrison, Wober and Roca have done enough to join Sinisterra in exiting the club for a fee but that remains up in the air, with Football Italia delivering an update on Llorente:
Llorente has spent 18 months at Roma, joining the club under Jose Mourinho. It comes after Mourinho gave the Spain defender his debut at Real Madrid, and Llorente has gone on to play 54 times for Roma.
But Mourinho is no longer in charge at Roma, sacked earlier this year and replaced by the impressive Daniele De Rossi. He helped Roma keep a clean sheet on Sunday evening, winning 1-0 against Genoa.
With one Serie A match to play, Football Italia say Llorente is still waiting to find out if Roma will sign him permanently despite The 49ers requesting a bargain fee of £4.3m to land the defender beyond his loan.
De Rossi is a big fan of Llorente and a deal should get done
Mourinho’s exit and De Rossi’s installation as manager of the Italian giants might have concerned the Leeds-owned defender over his game time but he has remained a key part of De Rossi’s Roma plans.
While he is not starting week in, week out, he is still regularly in the starting line-up. Llorente has been picked in seven of the last 10 Serie A matches and recently even opened his account against Fiorentina.
Scoring a wonderful goal, De Rossi described Llorente as “tremendous” and suggested he is technically too good to play in defence. Llorente is doing what he can to tempt Roma into a deal.
