West Ham United could make some serious waves in the January transfer window it seems.
This winter, Julen Lopetegui at West Ham urgently needs to recruit some players to his team.
He has to strengthen his center midfield department in particular, as it is painfully clear that the engine room needs some strength and agility. Given how much money we spent in the summer, we are currently paying for Lopetegui and Tim Steidten’s shoddy construction of the central midfield. The Hammers should make acquiring a midfield behemoth their top priority in January, and it appears that Lopetegui shares this sentiment.
It appears that our ideal central midfield player may be heading to East London this winter.
West Ham on verge of making the perfect Richard Rios signing
Hoy Diario del Magdalena reports that West Ham is making a lot of effort to sign Richard Rios. Paris Saint-Germain, however, might compete with us for the 24-year-old’s services.
Rios, who has already been connected to West Ham, would be the ideal January addition to Lopetegui’s team. Ever since Declan Rice left to join Arsenal in the summer of 2023, we have lacked a strong and dynamic ball-carrier in our midfield. However, the Colombian player has the ability to quickly alter all of that. Rios has outstanding ball control and is an incredible dribbler.
He can easily beat the opposition’s press because he is 6 feet 2 inches tall and possesses a wealth of energy, power, dynamism, and athleticism. It is obvious that the Colombian international has the physical characteristics required to be successful in the Premier League. In the tackle position, he is also quite forceful and persistent. Overnight, Richard Rios would change this West Ham team. Let’s hope that the deal can be finalized in January.
