When the split fixtures came out last year as Celtic await announcement

After they put St. Mirren to bed in a comfortable 3-0 victory on Saturday afternoon, Celtic are hotly anticipating the release of the post-split fixtures.

The Hoops do not yet know who they will face when they return to league action after their Scottish Cup semi-final with Aberdeen is played out this weekend.

Last year, the post-split fixtures were announced on the Tuesday after the matchday 33 fixtures were concluded. If the same is to remain true this campaign, fans can expect confirmation of their team’s upcoming matches tomorrow.

As we enter the critical stages of the run-in, the criteria for Celtic to crown themselves champions is clear.

If the Hoops aren’t scheduled to play Rangers on the last day of the season (which is vastly likely), they simply need to win their next four league clashes to secure the title.

Particularly after the Gers’ unexpected 3-2 loss to Ross County yesterday, among the Parkhead faithful, confidence is continually growing but on the pitch, the Bhoys will remain as level-headed as ever.
