When West Ham United schedules the Jota Silva transfer meeting, a fitness verdict is revealed.

Dr Rajpal Brar says that if Jota Silva, an attacker for Vitoria Guimaraes, were to transfer to West Ham this summer, he would have to step it up in training. Although the 24-year-old has had perfect attendance the past two seasons, the injury expert argues that the Premier League is a different animal.

This comes after Portuguese Sport TV reporter Sebastiao Sousa Pinto revealed on June 2 that the two teams had scheduled negotiations regarding a possible £17 million move. Brar, a sports scientist and physical therapy specialist, exclusively spoke with West Ham Zone. “His injury history appears to be spotless, indicating his level of fitness and lifestyle choices.

The Premier League, though, is a whole other ball game. In addition to maintaining those routines, he will need to progressively adjust his fitness training to the demands of the Premier League.

Despite this, he could still sustain a contact injury, for which there is typically no amount of training that can adequately prepare a person.

West Ham must consider Jota Silva transfer this summer

Silva’s remarkable ability to score goals and create plays makes him a potential star at the London Stadium. In all competitions, the 24-year-old Portuguese winger scored 15 goals and contributed seven assists during an exceptional season with Vitoria Guimaraes.

Because of his mobility, Julen Lopetegui can play centrally or on the left wing, giving him tactical options.

Silva would provide West Ham’s offense a new dimension with his speed, dribbling, and crossing skills, setting up players like Mohammed Kudus, Jarrod Bowen, and Michail Antonio.
