The Blues central defender has been linked with a move away from the club this month.
Chelsea’s dreams of qualifying for Europe next season were dashed as they were hammered 5-0 by rivals Arsenal at The Emirates on Tuesday night.
The Blues, who lost in the FA Cup semi-finals on Saturday, had the opportunity to draw level on points with Newcastle United in sixth place with a win in North London.
Mikel Arteta’s team easily defeated Mauricio Pochettino’s side, with former Chelsea player Kai Havertz scoring twice, leaving them in ninth place with six Premier League matches remaining.
Todd Boehly must sell centre-back Benoit Badiashile in the summer following his performance against Arsenal and the overall quality of his performances this season.
Benoit Badiashile performed worse than Axel Disasi versus Arsenal.
Badiashile was the poorest of Chelsea’s two centre-backs, with Axel Disasi outperforming him.
GOAL reporter Tom Maston gave the left-footed defender a 2/10 for poor possession play and delayed reflexes to shut down opponents, while Disasi received a 4/10.
Rio Ferdinand, a former Manchester United and England player, stated Arsenal “destroyed” Badiashile in his post-match analysis on TNT Sports.

As shown in the table above, Disasi was significantly more consistent in possession, made no direct errors that resulted in shots or goals, and was dominant in physical duels, whereas his defensive counterpart fell short in same measures.
Badiashile did not get much credit for either of Havertz’s goals, with the ball sliding in behind him for the first and the defence leaving him much too much space to reach the corner for the second, and allowing Ben White to drift off his back for the first.
Why Todd Boehly should cash in on Benoit Badiashile.
AC Milan has expressed interest in the French superstar, prompting Boehly to sell him this summer.
Pochettino has only given the 23-year-old dud nine league starts this season, indicating a lack of trust in his ability to play regularly at the back. He has been an unused replacement in two of the previous three matches.
In nine starts, he has made one error that resulted in a shot, one that resulted in a goal, and one penalty, averaging one big error every three starts.
Badiashile has been at Chelsea for more than a year, having joined from Monaco in January of last year, and has yet to demonstrate that he possesses the necessary skills to be a quality Premier League performer.
Therefore, the 2/10 flop, who was recently ‘destroyed’ by Arsenal, should be brutally sold by Boehly – if Milan act on their interest – to create space for a, hopefully, higher-quality replacement in the summer transfer window.
